Judiciary:
Their job is to interpret and apply the law and the constitution.
-The highest rank position is the Chief of Justice → comprises of Judges of Court of Appeal→ High Court (puisines) judges, magistrates, and Kadhis
-Tripartite Court System: the Native, Muslim, and Administrative Courts and Magistrates
-The expatriate judges and magistrates deal with non-African conflicts
-Hierarchical structure of Magistrates Courts:

-The main role is to make and pass laws
-The Unicameral National Assembly consists of 224 members(210 by votes, 12 are nominated, Attorney General, and the House Speaker as ex-officio members). A term is served for 5 years and can be extended or cut short by the president anytime or the National Assembly can with a 2/3 majority vote.
Githu Muigai is the current Attorney General and was elected in August 2011. He specializes in conflicts of racism, racial discrimination, and other forms of intolerance

-The ruling party is the National Rainbow Coalition(NARC) and has ruled Kenya since its independence from Britain in 1963. Their mission is to to fight for social change.
-In 1992, the Constitution was appealed and turned into a multi-party politics country with 40 registered political parties.
